This site contains resources and tools designed to help system administrators, local leaders and staff to support high quality case management in the workforce system. The best place to start is with the Effective Case Management Model menu. There, you'll find a briefing paper and a visual “map” that shows the key elements of the case management system hyperlinked to resources for improving the effectiveness of case management in each area. On-the-job training (OJT) is a training strategy that the workforce investment system can offer local employers and job seekers. This strategy is particularly important during the current economic environment. OJT puts unemployed workers back to work earning a wage while receiving training. Even better, employers can be reimbursed for the costs associated with training this new employee.
The U.S. Department of Labor, in partnership with the Small Business Administration (SBA), created the Self-Employment Assistance Center to provide information, resources and tools to help build state entrepreneurial programs for individuals eligible for Unemployment Insurance compensation. Within this website you will find the building blocks of a state SEA program including model legislation, state examples and links to tools, resources and training for entrepreneurs.

The Workforce Innovation Fund Virtual Hub is an inter-linked public online portal combined with a private online community just for grantees, where both the public and grantees can stay informed about the Workforce Innovation Fund grants, including new and innovative ways to serve customers who face wide-ranging challenges, new evidence-based strategies to scale broadly throughout the workforce system, and significant workforce system reforms that foster enhanced efficiency, ensure improved impacts and participant outcomes, and that can be replicated more broadly throughout the entire workforce system.
