This recording serves as a prospective applicant conference under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Notice of Availability of Funds and Solicitation for Grant Applications for State Energy Sector Partnership and Training Grants (SGA/DFA PY-08-20). This announcement is being made available on the Employment and Training Administration Web site at http://www.doleta.gov/grants and at http://www.grants.gov

Under the Recovery Act, the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Employment and Training Administration (ETA) announces the availability of approximately $190 million in grant funds to State Workforce Investment Boards of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Territories. A portion of the funds under this Solicitation for Grant Application (SGA) will be reserved for communities or regions undergoing auto industry related restructurings. In order to highlight the important role States play in building a national green economy, the Department is investing in workforce sector strategies that target energy efficiency and renewable energy industries.

This recording consists of a high-level overview of the State Energy Sector Partnership (SESP) and Training Grants Solicitation. Prospective Applicants are strongly encouraged to have reviewed the Solicitation prior to viewing the recording. The target audience for this recording is State Workforce Investment Boards. Prospective applicants should follow the instructions included in the Solicitation for submitting questions. Questions should not be submitted to Workforce3 One.
