On April 27, 2007, Assistant Secretary Emily Stover DeRocco shared with the WIRED regions a paper describing a WIRED Accountability Framework to systematically capture and report results and outcomes to help demonstrate regional achievements and the value of regional strategies and the WIRED framework to our stakeholders, including Congress and the American public. The Framework includes reporting outcomes against a set of common performance measures-how many people found jobs; how long did they stay employed; and what were their earnings. ETA has developed a method for reporting these outcomes of individuals served under a WIRED grant using the existing state WIA performance reporting system. This strategy is consistent with a broader goal of WIRED-the systematic transformation of the workforce investment system. We encourage all WIRED regions, State Workforce Administrators, and Local Workforce Boards in the region to participate in this discussion. The webinar will offer a brief overview of the approach, followed by the opportunity for an interactive discussion. The discussion will be important to help inform the development of a more technical session on the Accountability Framework to be offered at Workforce Innovations 2007.
