The Role of Workforce Intelligence in Talent Development, and Tools to Access It: Presented by the National Business Learning Partnership (NBLP)

During this 90-minute session Jeremy Wu, Assistant Division Chief for LED, will cover selected LED tools (i.e., OnTheMap and Community Economic Development (CED) HotReports), and highlight potential uses for the data and reports. Michael J. McCarthy, Assistant Vice President, The WorkPlace, Inc. (NBLP mentor) will explore how to use workforce information to foster partnerships and to carve out a continuing role in your community's economic development efforts. Jasen Jones, Executive Director, Workforce Investment Board Southwest Missouri (NBLP learner), will explore how vital workforce information is to the Workforce Investment Board's liaison role with community economic development. He will also discuss his area's successes in value-added services via re-packaging and co-branding workforce information for use with economic development prospects. Emphasis will be placed on workforce intelligence tools accessible in the public domain.
