Are You Ready? Tips for Measuring Work Readiness for Youth Under the Recovery Act

Posted by Margaret Lamb - On April 16, 2009 (EST)

The skill attainment rate is one of the Workforce Investment Act youth measures and one component is the attainment of work readiness skills. The work readiness skill attainment rate is the only indicator used for youth that participate in summer employment under the Recovery Act.

The Webinar will provide local Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs) and youth service providers with a definition of the work readiness indicator, options for its measurement, and examples of training curricula to help youth become ready for work. Practitioners will discuss how they use the curricula and measurement tools.
