HOPE NOW Alliance: A Partnership with the Workforce Investment System

Posted by Margaret Lamb - On March 19, 2010 (EST)

HOPE NOW is an alliance between counselors, mortgage companies, investors, other mortgage market participants, and the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of Treasury, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This alliance will maximize outreach efforts to homeowners in distress to help them stay in their homes and will create a unified, coordinated plan to reach and help as many homeowners as possible. The members of this alliance recognize that by working together, they will be more effective than by working independently.

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration is working with HOPE NOW to ensure that the nation’s public workforce system is aware of this important resource available to job seekers that need this assistance and engaged at the local Forums conducted across the United States during 2010.
