First Bureau of Labor Statistics Green Jobs Data

A Webinar of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) results from the first of its green jobs surveys, on green goods and services, defined as “goods and services produced by an establishment that benefit the environment or conserve natural resources.” This is the first U.S. national survey to attempt to ascertain information on green jobs (data issued to date from various sources have been estimates). The survey provided information on the detailed industries where green jobs occur, state-specific data, and information on green jobs in the private sector as well as all three levels of government. In this Webinar, BLS staff explained the innovative methodology they used to count green jobs, explained the findings, described future green jobs surveys, and answered questions.

Prospective Applicant Conference: 2012 SGA for SCSEP

This Webinar is for applicants to the 2012 Solicitation for Grant Applications (SGA) for national grants under the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). Staff of the National Program Office and Grants Office will review the contents of the SGA and necessary materials for submission, as well as answer questions from applicants. Following the webinar, all questions regarding the SGA must be emailed to Jeannette Flowers, Grants Management Specialist, at flowers.jeannette@dol.gov. Your inquiry should reference SGA/DFA PY 11-04 and include your contact information. Also, if you submitted a question that wasn't answered during the webinar, please send your question to Jeannette Flowers. Question: The SGA requires an applicant to provide evidence of its legal authority to operate a multi-State program. What is evidence of such legal authority?
