Posted by Gary Gonzalez - On August 18, 2010 (EST)

Knowing your customers...Getting them to know themselves better...Assisting them with goal setting...Helping your job seeker develop a good plan...Promoting success! What's the common thread? All begin with a good assessment! That's why assessment is considered "the foundation for effective case management.”

Assessment is the 1st phase of workforce development programs & services. It’s the foundation upon which the planning & implementation stages are built. The quality of assessment information will impact the long-term success of individuals in workforce programs & their future career decisions. In this webinar, participants will be introduced to the "Art of Assessment" & how it fits in the Case Management process.

We’ll focus on understanding the basics of assessment; formal & informal assessment tools; using interviewing & observation skills as key assessment components; addressing current assessment trends in relation to transferable work skills, non-traditional skills for women, "greening-up" the process; & more.
